Responsibilities of our Individual Giving Assistant
This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of Cats Protection’s Individual Giving programme by making our wonderful supporters feel valued and helping to generate over £21 million a year in sustainable income for Cats Protection.
In the Retention team role, you will primarily work on Cats Protection's cash, regular giving, and cat pen sponsorship programmes for existing supporters.
In the Acquisition team role, you will work primarily on Cats Protection’s TV and digital acquisition activity to recruit new supporters.
In both roles, you’ll play a key part in helping to deliver projects and campaigns from concept to delivery, ensuring communications are delivered on time, to the agreed audience, within budget and to the highest quality.
You will support in managing relationships with various external agencies, ensuring Cats Protection receives the best possible service. You will also liaise with a number of internal departments to ensure they are briefed on Individual Giving activity.
About the Individual Giving Team:
We sit within the Marketing & Income Generation directorate
Our team is responsible for the recruitment and retention of individual supporters to generate over £21 million each year and provide leads for the other teams in the directorate
We currently have a team of 13 working across Acquisition and Retention on our Cash Appeals and Raffles, Membership, Sponsorship, Lottery and regular giving programs using Mail, Face to Face, DRTV, email, Digital, Social and other paid media
What we’re looking for in our Individual Giving Assistant
Experience of working within a team in a similar role (e.g. Fundraising / Marketing), ideally in a charity working with agencies
Experience of assisting with the organisation of projects/activities or schedules
Experience of admin activities such as invoicing, collating information for reports, and minute-taking
Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Competent level of IT literacy including Office applications
An understanding of GDPR principles
