We are seeking an ambitious Digital Officer to join our innovative websites team within the Communications Directorate.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption and homing centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2019 we helped around 191,000 cats and kittens, an average of more than 520 per day.
The Digital Officer role sits within the Publications & Digital team, in our Communications directorate. We work to spread the word about Cats Protection, which is important for encouraging people to come to us, the UK’s leading feline welfare charity, for all their cat needs, whether they are looking to re-home a cat or need cat care advice. We do this through media coverage, online activity on our national, branch and centre websites, social media, email communications, our blog and printed publications.
This role sits in the Websites team and will be working with the Website Manager, Digital Content Manager and Digital Engagement team to maximise the effectiveness of our digital presence. You will be responsible for supporting our Website Manager to ensure that content on our websites and extranet is up to date and provides optimum user experience. This role also provides support and resources for our remote website editors to manage our branch and centre sites and will be working with multiple content management systems (including SharePoint and bespoke systems).
The ideal candidate will be organised and proactive, with experience of working with content management systems. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to multi-task.
